Visit Arts Visalia during Taste the Arts ( https://artsconsortium.org/events/tta/ ) on October 18 for this free make-and-take interactive art experience. Available while supplies last. ____
Corazón Comunitario is an interactive art event that invites the public to create and decorate their own modern-day milagros, which are usually small sacred charms traditionally used for protection, healing, or wishes. Using pre-cut aluminum sheets shaped like hearts and symbolic icons, participants will have access to various materials such as permanent markers, glue-on embellishments, silicone molds, beads, sequins, and more, to transform their metal cut-outs into deeply personal objects of art and intention.
Rooted in the rich folk traditions of milagros (meaning “miracles” in Spanish), visitors are encouraged to infuse their milagro heart with meaning, whether it’s for healing, hope, identity, resilience, or cultural pride.
