The upcoming Hawaiian Music Series, organized by the Lahaina Restoration Foundation, features a live performance by the talented Leimana Purdy | @leimanapurdy🎶Leimana Purdy, 21, is a Hawaiian falsetto entertainer and proud Kamehameha Schools Maui graduate. Raised in a home filled with mele, hula, and Hawaiian instruments, she discovered her passion for singing, dancing, and playing the ʻukulele at a young age.
In 2024, she was named the Carmen Hulu Lindsey Leo Ha‘i Ha‘i Falsetto Champion, honoring both her vocal talent and her deep connection to the mana and stories within each mele. For Leimana, Hawaiian music is more than performance — it is a way to connect with her kūpuna, ʻohana, and lāhui. Through her voice and storytelling, she continues to uplift and preserve the traditions of Hawaiian music.
