About this Event
Your vegetable harvest doesn't need to end with the turning of the season at the end of Summer. With the right planning and care you can harvest a bounty of vegetables from your home garden right on through the cold, dark, and rainy months! What's more, you don't need a greenhouse, cold frames, or any fancy tools to make it happen.
Timing is everything with Winter gardens and despite what you might think, the time to plant Fall/Winter vegetables is not the Fall or Winter. ...It's NOW!
During this hands-on workshop at our Demonstration Garden we will discuss which vegetables thrive during the Fall and Winter months, and when and how to plant them to ensure a year round harvest.
Kale, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Collard Greens, Chard, Spinach, Arugula, Lettuce, Carrots, Beets, Turnips, Radishes, Parsnips, Leeks, Garlic, Parsley, ...The list goes on!
Don't miss out on a Winter harvest this year! Come on down to the PEG Garden and learn how to maximize your Fall and Winter harvest.
All classes at the Demonstration Garden are FREE and All Are Welcome!
If you have the means to add a donation, your contribution will go directly to local non-profits dedicated to supporting home vegetable gardeners, food access and food security in our community.
