Art Therapy at Radiate Arts
Radiate Arts is happy to welcome you to participate in Art Therapy – run by University of Chester student and Trainee Art Therapist, Sasha. Sessions are free and welcome to all, and will start on Wednesday, November 13th at 10:30am-12:00pm, at Radiate Arts CIC off Nicholas Street Mews.
Please book online if possible and see the full schedule as well as other free activities at radiatearts.co.uk/what-s-on
Art therapy is a type of psychoanalytic therapy that uses art making as a way to connect and express different emotions that are sometimes difficult to explain or name. All sessions will be half art making and half time for discussion, where everyone is welcome to speak about their work in a safe, confidential space. All the artworks created will be your own, and you are welcome to take your work home with you at the end of every session.
This session is:
December 11th, Wednesday 12:30-12:00.
Create a Mobile - You are invited to create your own hanging decoration, starting with a simple stick. There will be yarn, feathers, beads, paper, fabric, and anything you might like to bring yourself. You are welcome to wrap the sticks, paint them, and hang items that will create artwork that would be able to be hung on the wall. All items will be provided, but please feel free to bring in your own materials as well.
