The Livermore Public Library and the Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society (L-AGS) will present a free genealogy workshop on Tuesday, June 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Community Rooms of the Civic Center Library, 1188 South Livermore Avenue.Registration is not required for this free workshop. Attendees may drop in at any time. Volunteer genealogy docents from L-AGS will work individually with attendees on a first come, first served basis to help them conduct genealogical research using online tools such as Ancestry Library, HeritageQuest, and FamilySearch. Laptops will be available for use. Attendees are advised to bring a USB drive so they may save relevant documents.
This event is open to all ability levels, from people who have never done any family history research to people who have been working on genealogy for a while.
All ages can join the fun and sign up (if you haven't already) for Summer Learning at Livermore.beanstack.org or on the Beanstack app. Paper gameboards are also available at all Livermore Library locations.
Summer Learning runs until August 14, 2024. Participants who track their reading and activities have a chance to win prizes. Everyone receives a free book just for signing up. Thanks to Friends of the Livermore Library and our other partners for making Summer Learning and its events possible.
