Each month, the San Mateo County History Museum holds its “FREE First Fridays” program. Museum admission free the entire day (10 a.m. until 4 p.m.), and museum-goers can attend special programs for free.
At 11 a.m., preschoolers can join Museum staff to learn about a relevant cultural or historical event, during which kids can participate in and create a related art project. Immediately afterward, youngsters will move to one of the exhibits to hear a story, read by Museum docents.
At 2 p.m., Museum docents will lead tours of the museum for adults.
Note: On Friday, July 4th, the Museum will host "An Old Fashioned Fourth" in honor of Independence Day. This event will take the place of the FREE First Friday event. The next FREE First Friday event will be August 1st.
