Free first aid class open to the whole community!Join us on Sunday, November 2nd 2-4pm in the Church sanctuary for an emergency/ first aid class.
This 2-hour Training Class is designed for individuals with little to no first aid experience, equipping them with essential skills to respond effectively to emergencies. The course covers critical topics to prepare participants for real-world scenarios, emphasizing practical, hands-on, learning to build confidence and competence.
Instructors:
Eric Menzel is a USCCA Emergency First-Aid Fundamentals Certified Instructor, where he delivers high-quality, hands-on training to individuals seeking to manage life-threatening situations effectively. He is also Basic Life Support (BLS) certified, being trained to handle critical medical emergencies, including CPR and AED use for adults, children, and infants. He has also previously completed Emergency & Standard First Aid Certification through the Canadian Department of National Defense. His expertise allows him to teach practical techniques for handling severe bleeding, chest injuries, compromised airways, spinal injuries, broken bones, and more, as outlined in the USCCA’s comprehensive curriculum. With a robust background in emergency training and a passion for empowering others with life-saving skills, Eric is equipped with comprehensive skills in assessing and managing a wide range of emergencies.
Daniel Perez is an experienced Army Medic (Ret.), having served in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as a USCCA Certified Instructor.
Samantha Sile is a Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) working in the South Florida healthcare system.
