Join us for a hands-on Seed Starting Workshop where we’ll explore the fundamentals of growing your own seedlings from scratch! We’ll demonstrate two key methods for starting seeds—using traditional seed trays and using a soil blocker. You’ll even get a chance to try out the soil blocker yourself! We’ll also share our top tips for successful seed starting, including:
-Why choosing the right seed starting medium is crucial
-Why and how to supplement light for strong, healthy seedlings
-What to start (and when!) based on your gardening goals.
We’ll be hosting this workshop in our 20-foot Planta greenhouse. If you’ve been considering investing in a similar greenhouse, this is the perfect opportunity to see one up close and discover how it can elevate your home gardening.
In addition to gearing up for spring, we’re also raising awareness for our upcoming Plant Sale, which funds our Children’s Community Garden Project. During the workshop, you can purchase seed-starting kits, with all proceeds supporting the Children's Community Garden project and we'll be giving out free seeds to jump-start your own growing season.
We’re excited to share gardening wisdom and support a great cause at the same time! Learn more about our Children’s Community Garden Project here:
