Come to this exciting, free program for the whole family! With butterfly net in hand, you will go out into the North Meadow in search of creatures! Bring them back and put them in a bug viewer to take a closer look! Identify the insect, watch how it moves and then gently let it go! It’s great fun and educational.This program is outdoors. Guests must wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and be prepared to walk for one hour. Free Family Fridays take place at Merryspring on select July and August Fridays at 10 am and are sponsored by Camden Riverhouse Hotel and The First.
Preregistration is necessary for this event, with limited space available. Guests may sign up by contacting Merryspring at 207-236-2239 or [email protected]. Admission is free to all. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round. The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza.
