Pioneer Toys & Treasures (At The Heritage Festival in Columbia, Missouri) Step back in time with “Time Travelers,” a hands-on museum program where children can explore a traveling trunk filled with pioneer toys and treasures! Young visitors will discover what life was like for pioneer children, from the games they played to the simple toys they cherished. Through interactive play and stories, kids will connect with history and experience a day in the life of children from long ago.

Formerly known as our Free Family Event series, Boone Youth Explorers is our newly renamed monthly program designed to spark curiosity and connect kids with local history through hands-on experiences.
Thanks to generous support from Missouri Humanities, we’ve been able to expand this program and offer even more engaging activities that bring the past to life for young minds.
