About this Event
As many as 1 in 4 Canadians are family caregivers. Many caregivers help their elderly parents, their spouse, relative or friend with a chronic health condition. This event salutes caregivers by providing them with an appreciation gift bag filled with sweets, lotions, gift card and other gifts. Caregivers must register on Eventbrite and pick up their gift bag on August 10 at a table set up at the La Fontana Caffe on Hastings Street.
***Update: the owner of La Fontana will be offering his cafe as the new site. His caffe has something for everyone, from delicious gelato, to pasta, to cappuccino, the list goes on. (unfortunate, Edmonds Community Centre refused to offer the venue for free, and the fee was too high for this project)
Please note: this venue is fantastic because there are gift coupons available to check out this amazing eatery and there is ample comfy chairs for diners.
Coffee and snacks will also be provided, as well as information on resources for caregivers.

Caregivers must be available on this day to pick up their gift bags made in advance. In special cases, drop off is provided to caregivers in Burnaby only on a case-by-case basis.
Funding is courtesy of Vancouver Foundation's Burnaby Neighborhood Grant Program.
Each gift bag contains a gift card to a local restaurant, and other amazing gifts.
