John Reid served as Communications Director for U.S. Senator George Allen and president of the bi-partisan Senate Press Secretaries Association. He was director of editorial communications at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a TV news anchor for 10 years and an investigative reporter at WRIC TV (ABC).
He also has the distinction of having served in 1993 in Los Angeles as one of former President Ronald Reagan’s last interns where he drafted remarks for President and Mrs. Reagan, staffed their personal and public events and domestic and international travel and assisted the press secretary.
A graduate of Baylor University Reid has trekked to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, been scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, flown weightless in zero gravity, danced with reclusive African tribes, kayaked in sub freezing Antarctica, explored the rock churches of Ethiopia and ancient mountain temples of South America and today is one of the small number of people alive who has visited more than 80 countries on all seven continents.
