UCLA First Thursdays is now a quarterly event series! When LA calls, Bruins answer. This February, join us for UCLA First Thursdays: Bruins Love LA—an evening to celebrate the power of community and the strength of our city. In times of tragedy, connection matters more than ever. We’ll honor the unwavering spirit of LA with a special focus on supporting those affected by the recent wildfires, in addition to recognizing Heart Month and Valentine’s Day. Explore ways to give back to wildfire relief efforts, and enjoy art, music, and hands-on activities like button-making and friendship bracelet crafting.
Learn more about our wildfire relief efforts, collectively known as UCLA Connects: Get involved through volunteer opportunities with the UCLA Volunteer Center, contribute to the Bruin Wildfire Relief Fund, or learn helpful tips from the American Red Cross. The UCLA Alumni Association, Government Community Relations, and UCLA People-Animal Connection will also be there to provide additional resources. Stop by the Alumni Bruin Swag Drive to donate your new and gently used Bruin items! Whether it's a hoodie, t-shirt, or anything with that signature Bruin flair, your donation will help support the local community and spread the love of UCLA. Every item counts.
After exploring ways to help, treat yourself to some tasty bites, giveaways, and a candy cart to satisfy your sweet tooth. Special partners like the Fowler Museum and Henna with a Heart will share the love, and you can capture the moment with an immersive photo experience at Live Bash.
