Free event: Port Adventure Family Day

Join us for Port Adventure Family Day where you will learn all about the Port of Vancouver. We will have games, snacks, door prizes, lots of cool swag, and more. And our mascot, Salty, will be here for photos and high fives!

Port Adventure Family Day is 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Registration is not required to attend the event however please register for the tour. If the tours are sold out, there will be opportunity to join the standby list throughout the day.

About the tour:

Be sure to join us on one of our Port Adventure Family Tours to see the sights and hear the sounds of Canada's trade with the world. We will travel by bus to Roberts Bank to show you modern day port operations. Roberts Bank is home to two deep-sea terminals: Westshore Terminals is North America's largest coal export facility and Deltaport is Canada's largest container terminal. Here, you will see coal trains, container trains, container trucks, and enormous cranes that work 24/7. And you will get off the bus for an up-close look at huge container ships being loaded and unloaded at Deltaport.

All tours begin and end at the Port of Vancouver Delta Community Office in Ladner.

• This tour is designed for young children and their families.
• Check in 15 minutes before your scheduled tour.
• The tour does not require any walking.
• There is one outdoor stop.
• Plan to arrive early or stay after your tour so you can enjoy all the activities at Port Adventure Family Day.

Tour times:

• 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
• 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
• 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
• 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
• 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
• 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Registration is not required to attend the event. Please register for the tour. If tours are sold out before the event, there will be opportunity to join the standby list throughout the day.

Before you register:

• This family tour is for young children who are accompanied with a parent, grandparent or other caregiver.
• Please register when you're 99% certain you are able to attend. This helps to eliminate no-shows and last minute cancellations and it ensures everyone who wants to participate can.
• If a tour is sold out, please join the wait list. If the wait list is full, there will be opportunity to join a standby list throughout the day.
• If you are registered but unable to attend, please let us know so we can give your seat to someone else.
