Journeys Festival of Dance returns to East Sussex this September with three days of high-quality, outdoor dance performances in public spaces across Uckfield, Hailsham and Bexhill. Produced by local event producers 18 Hours, the festival brings together internationally acclaimed dance companies and inspiring local talent to celebrate movement, music and community.• Sunday 28 September, Bexhill, 12pm & 1pm
The festival will conclude with a spectacular finale on the De La Warr Pavilion Terrace in Bexhill, featuring an afternoon of Kathak from the internationally acclaimed Sujata Banerjee Dance Company. Audiences will be treated to both solo and ensemble works that showcase the elegance and energy of Kathak, one of India’s nine classical dance forms, celebrated for its intricate rhythms, expressive storytelling, and exceptional technical skill.
Be sure to catch the other performances during the festival including a vibrant Bollywood show from Showmi Dance at Bridge Cottage, Uckfield on Friday 26th Sept and a showstopping performance and free workshop from O'Driscoll Collective on Saturday 27th Sept in Hailsham High Street.
