FREE ENGLISH CLASSES!The DEI Committee is excited to announce the start of a new ministry: ESL (English as a Second Language) classes at IUCC, beginning January 14, 2026, every Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 📚✨
People with limited English skills face significant barriers when trying to integrate into our city and community or even manage the tasks of daily life. They may be unable to have crucial conversations with their child’s school or with health providers. They may feel isolated, alone, or siloed with others who speak only their native language.
We will offer weekly classes where non-English speakers can improve their English skills by engaging in real-life conversations in a caring and supportive environment. These classes will also serve as an opportunity to learn about one another’s cultures, connect with each other, and form meaningful relationships.
We hope these English conversation classes will help our new neighbors overcome language and cultural barriers and empower them to live their lives with greater confidence and success. At the same time, the IUCC community will be enriched and strengthened as we show God’s love for our neighbors in practical ways.
We need the help of IUCC members to spread the word about these classes in the wider community. Please forward the flyer to your friends, neighbors, coworkers, and others in your social networks. Anyone interested in attending the class can sign up online using the QR code. Classes are free. 🆓
