The Binghamton Sertoma is hosting a document shredding event, Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9am-12pm (rain or shine) in Lot 1 of SUNY Broome. Residents can bring up to 10 bags of documents, no more than 20 pounds each. Documents inside of brown paper bags and cardboard boxes will be accepted (no plastic bags / trash bags).
Donations will also be collected during the event, to support Sertoma scholarships that benefit students in Broome
County who are speech and/or hearing impaired, or studying in the fields of speech pathology and/or hearing rehabilitation.
No businesses, please.
Wait times may exist, and the event may end early if the shredding trucks get filled to capacity, prior to 12pm.
