FREE DEMO of stained glass with artist Cindy Olive.
From design to finished product, Cindy will demonstrate the techniques used in the artistic creations of stained glass. Beginning with a sketch, transforming it into a ‘cartoon’ as the template, and then choosing the colors of glass to be used, she will share the steps that go into the design process. Next, is the actual cutting of the glass, followed by grinding and fitting the pieces together. After that, the pieces are wrapped in copper foil, burnished, and finally soldered together. A brief overview of leaded glass construction will also be included.
