Saturday 5 October | 10am – 5pm ⭐ FREE day at the Museum with Bath Children's Literature Festival
In partnership with Bath Children’s Literature Festival, it’s FREE entry to the whole site at the American Museum & Gardens, with storytelling and creative activities by Alice Tait, author and illustrator.
Your day also includes free entry to the new, child-friendly exhibition, Unforgettable Behaviour, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year show created in partnership with the Natural History Museum:
🦊 Dress-up and jump inside a hide in the middle of the exhibition to look at the wildlife through binoculars
🐻 Dig for animal scat and footprints in our fun dig pits, and identify what you discover
🐒 Create your own animal mask and take some selfies
🦍 Check how tall you are with our animal height chart
🦅 Read some animal books
🦩 Play with the funky puzzles
📖🎉 Story Activity Session with Alice Tait
Bath-based author and illustrator, Alice Tait, will be reading her new book No, Nancy, No! A Dog Chase in New York, signing books and leading creative, New York-themed, activities about the story. ⭐ Other activities on the day include games and colouring, a reading corner, and plenty of space in our gardens and woodland for running and exploring, including a children’s play area. All free on the day!
