Enjoy as many routes as you wish and experience the magic of these beautiful vehicles! Buses will depart from outside the Plume of Feather pub at 10 minute intervals between 10am and 3pm with a static display in Market Square. Buses will be travelling to Badby, Staverton, Braunston, Welton or Ashby St Ledgers and Weedon. There will also be SEND session - see below...
A bus brochure featuring the timetable can be purchased on the day for ยฃ3 from the the NTH stand which will be opposite Market Square โ in front of Muratiโs restaurant/Burton Memorial. The money from the brochure helps to go toward the maintenance and upkeep of these beautiful buses so please purchase one from them if you can.
Remember you can travel over from Northampton on our free X1 service and you can also travel in from Long Buckby and other village destinations.
There will be a variety of classic and heritage vehicles operating the FREE bus services out to the local villages and back to the town centre. You can go on as many bus rides as you wish. We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but please remember that most of the buses are from times past so we cannot carry wheelchairs, buggies or prams on the buses. Most will have steps at the entrance so please bear this in mind before boarding the buses.

- ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ฆ: The purchase of a programme is not conditional on riding on any of the bus services (nor does it give any priority to travel) but the small charge made for a programme will go towards the costs of staging this event for your enjoyment. Available on the day from our stall near the Burton Memorial at the top of the High Street.
- ๐ฆ๐๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ข๐ก๐ฆ: Whilst our heritage buses may not be as accessible as modern vehicles, some are easier to board for those with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) than others, and with that in mind we are thrilled to announce that during Northampton Transport Heritage's visit to Daventry we have dedicated 4 journeys to those with SEND at 10:30, 11:30, 14:30 and 15:30. These routes are fairly short, calm in terms of traffic and passenger numbers and onboard there will be an even more relaxed atmosphere than usual. Attendees with SEND are of course welcome on every single bus journey of the day and should you need assistance to board or advice about route suitability, our volunteers and drivers are always on hand to help.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Travel on these SEND services is on a first come first served basis. Please collect a ticket from our information point stall at the top of the High Street near the Burton Memorial to ensure your seat.
- ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ: You are carried at your own risk and the vehicle owners, drivers or event organisers accept no responsibility for any loss or damage or injury as a result. We regret that we cannot carry dogs other than assistance dogs on the buses. Whilst we will make every effort to maintain the advertised time table, the vehicles can be temperamental, so please be patient in the event of a delay or any cancellation. We cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by operating failure either within or beyond our control. All vehicles and journeys are subject to availability, change, cancellation and crew availability without prior notice.
