This class is for adults aged 50 years or older, and attendees must register at the front desk of the 50+ center upon arrival.
This FREE non-certification class covers CPR for adult victims, choking relief, and how to use an AED.
As a student, you’ll get hands on practice to build life-saving skills and participate in fun activities to challenge your knowledge! By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with the confidence to provide help in the case of sudden cardiac arrest until first responders arrive.
About the Instructor
Tearraney Zanguina is a Risk Reduction Educator at the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. In her role, Tearraney teaches Howard County residents and visitors the basics of CPR and bleeding control, and hosts classes on first aid, fire safety, and more.
With five years of experience as an educator, Tearraney started her career with Baltimore City Public Schools and served as a part of the University of Maryland Medical Center Safety Committee. She is a certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructor through the American Red Cross.
