Tactus Ensemble Cambridge, under the direction of Hugh Hinton, will perform a free hour-long concert of seasonal music entitled “O Western Wind” on Friday, December 12, 2025, 7.30 pm at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 838 Massachusetts Ave in Central Square in Cambridge, MA. Tactus Ensemble Cambridge is a choir that specializes in singing Renaissance a cappella music, presenting programs twice yearly. The major work on this program will be the “Western Wind” Mass of John Sheppard, composed upon a popular 16 th century folk tune. Other works will include Renaissance Christmas music from a variety of composers, including Victoria, Handl, Mouton and Gabrieli, as well as the original 1591 version of the Coventry Carol. Come celebrate the Christmas season with an hour of peace and serenity.
