Directed by John Musick and David Hartley the Lyons Township High School founded in 1888 has a tradition of excellence in choral music that is known across the state of Illinois. Having worked throughout the United States with some of choral music’s greatest modern composers including John Rutter and Jester Hairston the choir are thrilled to be here in Ireland to perform their mix of music from the classical choral canon world pieces and modern pieces inspired by poetry.
The Lyons Township High School Tour Choir will perform a free evening concert at St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Monday 31st March at 8pm. All are welcome. Their whirlwind tour of Ireland will include performances in Cork Killarney Galway and Dublin.
