With a background that includes nursing and the law, Sharon is keenly interested in the health benefits that yoga offers to practitioners of all ages, as well as the improved quality of life it affords more mature yogis. Sharon is a certified RYT-200 yoga instructor with additional certification in yin yoga. In addition to serving as an ambassador at Body Balance, Sharon teaches two early morning yoga classes at Kingsmill Sports Club. An avid golfer, Sharon finds yoga practice to be the perfect complement to golf as well as other athletic endeavors.
When not practicing yoga or golfing, Sharon is a Master Gardener and Tree Steward with Williamsburg/James City County Master Gardeners, She and her husband spend as much time as possible with their six grandchildren.
Sharon will be leading an Introduction to Hatha Yoga Class designed to both encourage those just beginning their yoga journey as well as to welcome those who may be returning to yoga after many years away from the practice. While the class promises to be both rejuvenating and invigorating, this introductory class will include slow and conscious breathing techniques as well as a focus on finding steadiness and ease within poses.
