This Bhakti-inspired class offers a unique reimagining of the traditional Yin–Yang format by beginning in stillness rather than movement. The practice is intentionally Yin-forward, honoring Yin as the foundation from which mindful movement arises—rather than something we arrive at after effort. We begin with grounding Yin postures supported by breath awareness and mantra, allowing the nervous system to slow, regulate, and reset. Starting in Yin creates a sense of safety and receptivity, softens connective tissue and energetic holding, and quiets mental noise before transitioning into movement.
Mantra is woven into the practice as a vibrational anchor creating a steady frequency that the body can entrain to, helping regulate the nervous system at a somatic level. The rhythmic quality of mantra supports parasympathetic activation, reduces internal chatter, and provides the mind with a single point of focus—allowing the body to shift out of stress and into coherence without force.
From this softened state, we transition into a brief and gentle vinyasa. Movement is slow, minimal, and breath-led—offered as an expression of presence rather than performance. The vinyasa serves as a quiet bridge, allowing the steadiness cultivated through stillness and sound to carry into motion.
The practice then returns to Yin, creating space for integration, deep release, and reflection. Breath remains the guiding thread throughout—slow, intentional, and spacious—supporting grounding, inner listening, and nervous system balance.
This class is ideal for students seeking to slow down, reset their nervous system, and experience movement as devotion. All levels welcome.
