What is this event about?
This event is part of Moonee Valley City Council's and cohealth's actions for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign started back in 1991.
Our local campaign is focusing on the theme 'Step Up': What can we all do, right where we are, to create positive change and see people no longer using violence in their relationships? This event aims to bring together community leaders from across Moonee Valley so that we can get started on a whole-of-community approach to family violence prevention.
What can I expect on the day?
- Sign-in and food on arrival.
- A group of people learning together in person. The maximum size of the group will be around 25 people.
- An interactive workshop led by two professional facilitators. There will be audio-visual presentations, conversation and workshopping.
- Information about family violence prevention and response techniques.
- An information pack on family violence support you can take back to your workspace.

There is ample parking close to Burley Griffin Community Centre.
