In conjunction with American Heart Month, the fourth annual free community-wide CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training event will be held February 5-7 at Baden Square in Winfield. This event is part of William Newton Healthcare Foundationโs Beats Go On community wellness initiative, with partners including Cowley College, Southwestern College, Udall Fire, USD 465 Winfield, USD 470 Arkansas City, William Newton Hospital, and Winfield Fire/EMS.Participants will receive ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐๐น๐/๐ถ๐ป๐ณ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ฅ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด, ๐๐๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ก๐๐ฅ๐๐๐กยฎ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด during each session.
Four sessions will be offered to the general public and one session for healthcare providers only.
New this year โ weโve added a ๐ฆ๐๐ผ๐ฝ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด opportunity on Thursday, Feb. 5 from 4-5pm!
William Newton Hospital offers a monthly CPR class, which typically costs $30 for the public. However, through this outreach effort, community partners will be offering CPR certification at no cost.
Course completion cards will be issued by the American Heart Association. Each session is limited to 46 participants.
