Given the uncertainty of the current times, it is normal for the trickle-down effects of sociopolitical change to adversely affect one's mental health. While you may feel buried beneath oppressive weight, like planted seeds we can still grow and overcome if we can maintain a collective resiliency as a community.
The Bayard Rustin Center for Social Justice is offering a virtual AND in-person space where folks can seek support and guidance on how to care for their mental health in a society that is seemingly and progressively working against emotional wellness. Group participants are encouraged to share whatever comes up during the week so that we can seek support and work through issues together.
This group is facilitated by licensed psychologist, Kelsey Feret, Psy.D. who holds cultural humility as a cornerstone of her clinical work with specialties in neuropsychology, trauma, and forensic psychology. She has experience providing services across the continuum of care, including private practice, residential treatment facilities, outpatient clinics, hospitals, and correctional facilities.
Whether you’ve been struggling with mental health or you just want some like-minded people to talk to, we invite you to join us in person or virtually for connection, camaraderie, and community!
