When and how to apply mulch and reasons behind it. Here are just a few reasons... It helps keep a steady temperature that locks the plants in dormancy. It stops new growth that might take place during those pesky and short warming spells. Another benefit of winter mulching is that it helps to conserve water in the soil, and so much more.
We will provide handouts for participants to take home for further review and understanding.
After the lecture, we will host a HANDS-ON WINTER PRUNING SESSION, and we encourage all attendees to participate. We will then open a Q & A Forum on growing fruit and citrus trees in our area, Landscaping is expensive; learn how to protect it!
