An Introduction to Seed Saving 10am on Tuesday, February 11th
Presented by Scott Blackburn (New Garden Road)
Can you afford NOT to save seeds? This presentation offers an overview of the basic principles, methods for processing and storage, and opportunities for exploring crop diversity through seed saving with an emphasis on food crops.
About the speaker:
Scott is a gardening educator and YouTube content creator motivated by a passion for ecological stewardship, saving soil, and urban habitat restoration. He’s obsessed with growing his food, a collection of container-grown citrus trees, and mushroom gardening experiments. Since 2007, Scott has been learning from the poor soil and extreme weather of Central Texas. Through his business, New Garden Road, he offers consultation services focused on edible garden site analysis, planting design, and adaptive strategies. Together we can restore ecosystems and establish food sovereignty.
