Community Emergency Response (CERT) teams respond in the period immediately after a disaster when response resources are overwhelmed or delayed. It is the bridge to professional responders until they are able to arrive. This training covers basic skills important to know in a disaster when emergency services personnel are unavailable. This training is sponsored by the State of Utah, Division of Emergency Management, and the Iron County Office of Emergency Management.Skills taught during the CERT classes are:
- First Aid
- Incident Command System (ICS)
- Light Search & Rescue
- Emergency Communications and more

You must complete 6-7 hour online training before attending class.
