About this Event
Black Hills Brain Health will be holding an ongoing series of free classes about brain injury recovery for survivors, medical providers, caregivers, and parents, led by brain health experts.
Importantly, a virtual option is available for those who don’t live in Rapid City or can't attend in person. Call or email for details: [email protected] or 605. 343.7297
We know that many children and young adults suffer brain injuries such as concussions during sports and other activities. Adults in rural areas also experience brain injury from car accidents, farm or ranch injuries, and jobsite accidents, in addition to strokes.
Survivors, their caregivers, and even medical providers often feel overwhelmed during the recovery process. We’re offering these free classes to help with information and supportive connections!

At Black Hills Brain Health, we work closely with brain injury survivors, their medical providers, and their caregivers and family to help them heal and regain as much independence as possible. Recovering from brain injury requires a lot of support. Survivors and their family may feel confused and overwhelmed about where to turn next or where to go for answers. Medical providers may desire more information on brain injury recovery as well. These classes will provide assistance along your way and important connections with other survivors, caregivers, and medical providers in our area. No matter what kind of brain injury you've experienced (accident, stroke, concussion, etc.), you'll find these classes beneficial and supportive. Our brain health experts are providing these ongoing classes free of charge thanks to a grant from the South Dakota Department of Health. We will be offering six more classes in the months ahead. All classes will have a virtual option available so anybody can attend, no matter your location. Please contact us with any questions! Pre-registration is highly encouraged.
