Dear Bombazo Students! Join us for the Fall 2024 Free Bomba Drumming Class with Bombazo Dance Co. This year it will be a four week workshop. FOUR Saturdays starting October 12th thru November 2nd, 2024.
Classes will be taught by master percussionists Oreste Abrantes, Jr and Billy T El Negrolo de Ponce! in a family friendly environment. Students will learn history, rhythms, drumming rudiments, and timing and for our returning students strengthening drumming techniques and developping piquete sounds.
Start Date: Saturday October12, 2024
Time: 11am
Location: The Point. 940 Garrison Ave Bronx NY
Dress code: Comfortable loose fitting clothes.
Registration: ONE TIME 10.00 registration fee per child in class.
Bomba Drums: available first come first served
COVID Policy: masks are recommended if your child has cough or the common cold. Mask usage to parents or legal guardian discretion.
Upcoming Bomba Event : The Bombazo Jr. Company is traveling to Puerto Rico in November on in immersive cultural exchange to meet and further learn from the Bomba Elders.
