🐘📣🐘SUNDAY AFTERNOON - Oct 5 from 3 to 5!
More and more Los Angeles Zoo patrons are feeling disappointed and disenchanted, deceived and defrauded by the state of this city-owned animal-holding facility. Not only is it increasingly run-down looking, but many of the exhibits are closed or the animals, often alone, are hiding from view. The zoo is exposing itself for what it is - not a haven or refuge for animals but a jail, not a place for education, but rather deception, not conservation but oppression.
The zoo director Denise Verret had an excellent opportunity to do something very very good - give the elephants Billy and Tina a life in a true sanctuary. Instead she chose more endless confinement at Tulsa Zoo. This says everything about her and the zoo's management.
Join us as we commiserate with exiting patrons as the zoo closes for the day next Sunday, Oct 5 from 3 to 5. LA Zoo at 5333 Zoo Drive. Free parking.
Warm temps are still here so wear a hat or bring an umbrella, and definitely bring water in a reusable container.
Whether you want to hold a sign, chant, do speakouts, take photos and videos, hand out flyers or talk to zoo goers, we have a place for you with our team. Billy and Tina need you! Flyers and posters are provided but we welcome handmade ones for Billy and Tina as well! YES, to megaphones, NO to talking to cops.
