Dr. Alisha Paddock will teach this 5-week class that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the various backgrounds which influenced our New Testament authors. We will investigate how the Roman Empire viewed early Christianity. We will ponder what it was like to be a believer in the early church. We will consider how Greco-Roman rhetoric, religions and philosophies influenced the shaping of our New Testament. Join as we delve deeper than just the words on the pages of our Bible.Participate in-person or online.
