This workshop introduces and revises types of poetry and the figurative or literary language typical of poetry, which is a great headstart to the expectations of a GCSE Literature exam. Some of the terms and definitions can be challenging, but a big focus is extending a love of poetry to your children and encouraging them to use Point, Evidence, Explain when writing about poetry, as they should do in secondary school.
