November 5: Introduction to Mixed Media Artworks
In this workshop, participants will explore the exciting world of mixed media, learning how to skillfully combine multiple materials to create harmonious, layered artwork. Using materials like paint, paper collage, tape, markers, pastels, and more, we’ll experiment with blending techniques that showcase the unique qualities of each medium.
November 12: Found Object Drawing (Mixed Media)
Centred on life drawing, this session invites participants to create quick and dynamic sketches of unique objects selected from the studio. The workshop incorporates varied drawing times—from rapid 10-second sketches to focused 15-minute studies—introducing participants to techniques in perspective and mark-making. With pencils, markers, and pastels at hand, artists will expand their skills in capturing form and detail.
November 19: Abstract Cityscape Painting
This workshop takes an abstract approach to cityscape painting, focusing on expressive techniques in brushwork and color mixing. Participants will explore basic and advanced painting techniques, incorporating stencils for added texture and layering effects.
November 26: Found Object Sculpture
Participants will construct unique, handheld sculptures from upcycled
materials—transforming sticks, stones, and studio scraps into tiny robot or duende figures (symbolic of personal creature spirits). Using hot glue for structure, participants can finish their creations with a final paint layer for added character.
December 3: Sun God Collage
This session celebrates the warmth and vitality of sun gods, symbols of creativity and joy. Participants will start with cut paper to form a circular base, layering collage and mixed media to develop unique sun god faces filled with personal touches and flair.
December 10: Build Your Own Wooden Temple
Inspired by the architecture of Mayan temples, this workshop will guide participants in building small wooden temples from pre-cut pieces sourced from Fuse33. Using wood glue, participants will construct their temples, allowing time for drying before moving on to painting and decorating their structures.
