Fredericksburg Book Festival is a free event for children and adults open to the public. Locations are the Pioneer Memorial Library, St. Joseph’s Halle and the Gillespie County Historical Society Sanctuary. Nine Texas authors will join us for readings, panels, interviews and Q&As. Authors of books for adults will speak in St. Joseph's Halle and authors of children's books will speak in the Pioneer Memorial Library 2nd floor. The library will also host hands-on activities for children and a pop-up appearance by Pete the Cat. Typewriter Rodeo will be composing original poetry in the Sanctuary on the Pioneer Museum grounds. A free trolley will transport attendees between venues. The Twig Bookshop will be selling copies of the featured authors' books and authors will be signing books following their presentations. Sure Shot Coffee will be selling coffee and pastries on the porch of the Sanctuary building at the Gillespie Historical Society.
