About this Event
"Schwanengesang" is the posthomous title given to a collection of Franz Schubert's last songs. Although not a song cycle per se, they have been historically performed as a whole set. Together with Die schöne Müllerin and Die Winterreise, they constitute the most important works in Schubert's art song. This work completes the Schubert series that internationally renowed German/Mexican tenor Emilio Pons set out to perform for New York audiences. He will once again be joined by renowned Russian/American pianist Asiya Korepanova.
