How would you like to be a member of Frankston’s first ever literary salon?
Frankston Writers’ Salon meets monthly and writea to a particular theme in short form poetry and microfiction. The aim is for this group to represent the best of Frankston’s literary talent adding to our vibrant arts scene. Under the guidance of local poet/writer, Andrea Louise Thomas, Frankston Writers’ Salon will strive to present, publish and occasionally perform writing that represents our city, its writers and our lively literary landscape with panache and pride.
Join us to break new ground with our words!
April Meeting - Ekphrastic poetry: In this session we’ll meet one another and learn about our new salon and all of its features. Then we will write short ekphrastic poems in response to an exhibition at Frankston Arts Centre.

May: Microfiction Frankston-centric 100-word story challenge
June: Blackout poetry/word scraps poetry.
July: Microfiction ‘Word House Generator’ stories set in the library
August: Performance poetry workshop
September: Microfiction Penned 50-word writing challenge
October: Urban poetry street art walk with writers’ response in poetry or fiction
November: Microfiction Writing about writers
