Franklin County EPIC America250PA Parade

Franklin County is having a birthday bash for America, and what better way to celebrate than with a parade. September 20, 2025 kicks off a year-plus celebration with the EPIC Franklin County America250PA Parade at 1 PM in downtown Chambersburg, and you are invited to be part of the celebration. There is no entry fee to join the parade, and prizes will total more than $5000. Bring a band, bring a float, walk with your business or your church, bring your youth group, your Jeep club, your antique cars, tractors, horses and wagons, music groups, twirlers, football, basketball, baseball, hockey or simply your favorite team, non-profit, veteran’s organization, business, or community group. PARADE Route: The parade begins at King Street and North Main, continues onto South Main, turns left/east on Washington Street, turns left/north on Second Street, and disbands on Second Street at Grant Street. This route is similar to the Chambersburg Christmas Parade route.

Prizes

Best of Show Prize of $250 and a Runner-up Prize of $100 will be awarded in these age categories:

· Pre-K to 5th Grade

· 6th Grade to 8th Grade

· 9th Grade to 12th Grade

· Adult

· Mixed Ages.

Best of Show and Runner-up Prizes will be awarded in these categories:

· Veteran Groups

· Senior Groups

· Historic Groups

· Musical Groups

· Business Groups

· Floats

A Best of Community ($250) and a Runner-Up Community Prize ($100) will be awarded. The community groupings are:

· Greater Chambersburg – Chambersburg, Fayetteville, Guilford Township, Greene Township, Hamilton Township

· Greater Waynesboro – Waynesboro, Mont Alto, Rouzerville, Blue Ridge Summit, Washington Township

· Greater Greencastle – Greencastle, Antrim Township

· Greater Mercersburg – Mercersburg, Fort Loudon, Peters Township, Warren Township, Montgomery Township, Saint Thomas Township

· Greater Fannettsburg/Path Valley – Path Valley Area, including Fannettsburg, Spring Run, Dry Run, Doylesburg, Willow Hill, Concord, Metal Township, Fannett Township

· Greater Shippensburg – Shippensburg (both Franklin and Cumberland County portions), Roxbury, Newburg, Southampton Township, Letterkenny Township, Lurgan Township.

Best of Show and Runner-up Prizes for entries out-of-Franklin County will be given, also.
