About this Event
Saturday, November 15th from 11 AM to 1 PM, artist Lisu Vega will host a contemplative poetry workshop and guided exhibition tour.
Lisu Vega blends textile art, sculpture, and experimental weaving with photography and engravings to create immersive installations that speak to the personal and collective experiences of displacement and transformation. The ancient weaving techniques from her Wayuu heritage, is integral to her work. Through her intricate, labor-intensive work, she creates a space where her past and future meet, where the scars of migration are transformed into vessels of hope and continuity.
Come join us for this very special opportunity. Hear directly from the artist behind the work in "Lo que me Habita: That Which Inhabits Me". This event is free and open to all ages.
