The William S. Boyd School of Law is pleased to announce the Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition! The Competition focuses on emerging issues at the intersection of gaming law and regulation.
This year's competition will take place February 27-28, 2026, at the Boyd School of Law, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The competition problem will be developed with guidance from the Boyd School of Law faculty. The Boyd School of Law is a pioneer in gaming education and is the only law school to offer an LL.M. in Gaming Law and Regulation.
The 2025 competition welcomed 20 teams from around the country. The finalists fielded questions from Nevada Supreme Court Justice Patricia Lee, Nevada Court of Appeals Judges Bonnie Buella and Deborah Westbrook, and William S. Boyd School of Law Dean Leah Grinvald
Registration:
- Registration opens Monday, September 1, 2025
- Early Bird Registration ends October 31
- Regular Registration ends December 12, 2025
Registration for the competition will close on the deadline, or once there are 30 registered teams, whichever is sooner.
The appellate record will be released to competitors on December 15, 2025. Briefs will be due by January 16, 2026.
- Early-bird registration costs $675 for one team and $1,350 for two teams
