The William S. Boyd School of Law is pleased to announce the Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition! The Competition focuses on emerging issues at the intersection of gaming law and regulation.
This year's competition will take place February 28 - March 1, 2025, at the Boyd School of Law, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The competition problem will be developed with guidance from the Boyd School of Law faculty. The Boyd School of Law is a pioneer in gaming education and is the only law school to offer an LL.M. in Gaming Law and Regulation.
The 2024 competition welcomed 26 teams from around the country. The finalists fielded questions from Nevada Supreme Court Justice Patricia Lee, Nevada Court of Appeals Judges Bonnie Buella and Deborah Westbrook, and William S. Boyd School of Law Dean Leah Grinvald
Registration will open on Monday, September 2, 2024. The early bird registration deadline is Monday, September 30, 2024. The regular registration deadline is Thursday, October 31, 2024. Registration for the competition will close on the registration deadline, or once there are 28 registered teams, whichever is sooner.
The fact pattern will be posted on November 4, 2024, and briefs will be due by January 6, 2025.

The pricing for early-bird registration is $675 for one team and $1,350 for two teams. The pricing for regular registration is $750 for one team and $1,450 for two teams.
