Summer-Festival ODYSSEE celebrates
current global sounds in the Ruhr valley
It all started with an innovative idea: not only to popularise the music of migrants, but also to provide them with an attractive platform. Embedded within a festival that offers musicians the opportunity to connect with each other.
Four venues in the Ruhr valley play host to these concerts every summer, now becoming one of the most attended festivals for global music. The ODYSSEE Festival: Music of the Metropolises, funded and broadcasted worldwide by WDR COSMO, will feature twelve magical concerts with vibrant music. This year, charismatic bands will take the stage, not only delivering pulsating crossover beats but also taking a courageous stand against discrimination, racism, and violence – through powerful sounds, hypnotic rhythms, and ingenious fusions. Urban sounds for the senses - always outdoors and free. All concerts start at 7.30 p.m.
