A great singer and performer Italian jazz pianist Francesca Tandoi has been hailed by critics and peers as a rising jazz super star and one of the most enthralling talents of the younger generation globally. Tandoi’s playing is delightful and with a unique sense of swing- and as such - it has been appraised by various masters of jazz the last few years! Within ten years from her first recording Francesca is considered to be a very well established and respected artist today. The Half Note Jazz Club has the privilege of introducing four delightful concerts with the marvelous artist in Athens between the 17th and the 20th of January 2025.

Born and raised in Rome Francesca took interest in jazz thanks to a song she heard on the radio only at the age of five! Enchanted by this tune without knowing this was jazz she convinced her parents to get her to study music and at the age of 16 Francesca started to play in various small venues only to continue her studies later on in Holland. Her first album occurred around 2014 and master pianist Monty Alexander was positively blown away by her debut album. Alexander said “Francesca Tandoi is a supremely tasteful swinging piano player. Her vocals are exquisite her compositions are melodic and memorable and her arrangements are extremely thoughtful”. Six more personal albums have followed and more than 20 other albums in collaboration with various artists during that time until today. As far as live performances Francesca appears at the most prestigious Festivals in the world include institutions such as North Sea jazz Festival and Umbria Jazz and venues such as the Lincoln Center in New York.

Francesca Tandoi feels most free in her classic trio format and in Athens she will perform with two other great Italian jazz musicians - bassist Stefano Senni and drummer Giovanni Campanella. Her repertoire will surely include pieces from her recent album “Bop Web” as well as other older works demonstrating always her highest level of classical jazz technique and artistic sense.
