Local artist and teacher Susan St. Thomas will show you how to properly frame your artwork!
Finish up and protect your paintings, prints or photographs. Make your good artwork look great! Learn how to select, measure and cut your own single and double mats with demonstrations and hands-on cutting practice. Discussion of metal designer frames vs. wood frames with instruction as to how to finish your work in creative ways, under glass using frames you already have, using pre-made frames, or building a frame yourself. Demonstration of how to create a “floater” frame for raised surface artwork. Receive a list of available framing resources and see how to use simple framing tools now available to artists. You wil save money doing all or some of your own framing.
Cost to participate is $50, $40 for OCA members. A variety of frames will be available for purchase for $5/$10 at the workshop. Space is limited, register early!
