PARTYING FOR POWER.
Exams are over summer has began. Many great joys and experiences lie ahead of us.
But at this time we must take a minute to appreciate the freedoms we have. In many places there are deep systemic injustices which prevent people from partying or expressing themselves fully.
At this Fractal, we are honouring music that has stood up against the establishment through the eras.We have prepared a stellar lineup of DJs and bands
covering free techno, psychedelic trance, Detriot electronica, gabber, jungle, psychedelic rock, punk to name a few. From the acid house/free rave movement that stood up against the Thatcherite austerities of the 80s, to Detroit techno and it foundation in black music and anti-racism, and the psychedelic rock of the 60s aiding the protest against the Vietnam war. The music is uncompromising and rebellious. The music is the medium through which change happens.
We must act. That’s why all proceeds from this rave will be going to unicef which will provide humantarian aid to children in many regions of the world including Gaza and Sudan. A change won't be seismic, but to us getting 140 people to become aware and donate to a humanitarian charity is enough…
This party will be powered by Cranked Sounds. The Middlesbrough system has been know throughout the region for putting on some of the craziest parties.
