State Fire Marshal will share insights and updates from across Texas, highlighting key issues and initiatives impacting our region and the state. This is a great opportunity to hear firsthand about the progress and challenges in fire safety and prevention, as well as to have your questions answered.In addition to his presentation, we will be holding our annual elections for the 2025 Officers and Board Members, along with discussions on other essential association business.

Assistant State Fire Marshal Chuck Allen has been with the Texas Department of Insurance’s State Fire Marshal's Office (TDI/SFMO) since June 2016, beginning his service as a fire and life safety inspector. Over the years, he advanced through the ranks, serving as lieutenant and captain, before being appointed Assistant State Fire Marshal in October 2023.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management from West Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in Leadership, specializing in Disaster Preparedness and Executive Fire Leadership, from Grand Canyon University. He is certified as a master fire inspector, fire and arson investigator, and master peace officer, and is also a field training officer and certified fraud examiner.
With more than 30 years in public safety, including extensive experience in Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement, he has served in both public and private sectors at municipal, county, and state levels. His comprehensive expertise and commitment to safety continue to impact communities across Texas.
