Join us for this in-person program:Foxloft Conservancy: Working to Build Southern Minnesota’s First Wildlife Hospital
Tuesday, November 26, 2024
7- 8:15 pm
at Quarry Hill Nature Center
701 Silver Creek RD NE
Rochester, MN 55906
Foxloft Conservancy, based in Mantorville, was founded to meet the need of having a local resource for wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation education in the Rochester area. Come learn about the field of wildlife rehabilitation, its importance to our community, and the crazy ride that is starting a non-profit organization and working to develop a fully fledged hospital (where no patients can pay their bills) from the ground up.
Founder and licensed wildlife rehabilitator Foxfeather Zenkova, will be speaking about her unusual path into the field, her deep passion for vultures, how art can help people connect to nature, and how you can get involved (as well as sharing stories from the field such as what it’s like to rescue an ailing Mayo peregrine, stay up all night with a vomiting vulture, or the need to wear motorcycle crash helmets when working with certain birds who possess spring-loaded knives for faces).
You can learn more about Foxfeather’s work and Foxloft Conservancy at: https://linktr.ee/Foxfeather
This is a free in-person presentation open to everyone, hosted by Zumbro Valley Audubon at Quarry Hill Nature Center
